財布(さいふ)を失(な)くした is translated as “I lost my wallet.”
財布(さいふ)=wallet
失(な)くす= lose
失(な)くした is the past tense of 失(な)くす.
失(な)くした is a casual phrase.
If you want to make it polite, you can say, “失(な)くしました。”
The below sentence is the conversation between the police and the person who lost the wallet.
Police：どうしたのですか？
You：財布(さいふ)を失(な)くしました。
Police：どこで失(な)くしましたか？
You：覚(おぼ)えていません。Police：How can I help you?
