気(き)が乗(の)らない Kiganoranai
This word indicates one has no desire and a lack of interest.

腰(こし)が重(おも)い Koshigaomoi
This term is a little advanced Japanese.
The literal translation would be “waist is heavy,” but the meaning is different when used in this situation.
This term has the following meanings.
- It isn’t easy to take action.
- It is hard to get motivated.

・弟(おとうと)は勉強(べんきょう)に関(かん)しては腰(こし)が重(おも)い。
